It has been reported that music singing legend Michael Jackson has settled a huge US$600,000 tax bill. Even though he has settled the bill it is said he still owes US$23 million in loans that have been secured against the Neverland Ranch which mean he could lose the famous dwelling. Music in Croydon took another step up last night, as Cellar Door performed an immaculate set that showcased along with the other finalist the wealth of talent within the Croydon music community. Croydon currently has a population of close to 350,000 people but currently there isn't a central point for people in the borough to get news, events and advice or music related topics. We at Croydon Music aim to be that central point where people can come and find out what's happening within the borough. There are many organisations and festivals in Croydon such as the Brit School, The Croydon Summer festival (featuring the Croydon Mela) and much more, and currently more musical activity is being planned. The UK music industry contributes nearly five billion pounds to our economy every year and more than 130,000 people work in it in some way, shape or form.
