Croydon Enterprise have developed a “Ladder to Finance” program for people in Croydon who run a music business can access finance to support & progress their businesses. The first step is the Test Trader grant where you can recieve up to £250 to test your business idea, service or product. The next step on the ladder is the Credit Union business development loan.
This loan is for between the amounts of £251 – £2000 to be paid back over a maximum term of 5 years. Now most people I know in the creative arts are afraid of loans but the good thing about the credit Union you do not have to go through the mill to apply for this loan.
The main criteria for this loan is that you are running a business based in Croydon and that you are able to prove you can repay this loan.

I am 19yrs old and currently studying music. I have been in the music business for over five years M C and makining beats, I found it quite interesting. Music have helped me to focus and stay out of trouble therefore I would like to set up a social enterprise for young people like myself giving back something to the community where I have started, will enable young people to get off the streets and keep clear of crime.
