Croydon Live hits the right note once again!

June 4, 2008

x-factor-fame-academy.jpgCroydon live was great once again we are pleased to announce, all the performers we want to say thank you for your brilliant performances again we have shown the level of artist Croydon has to offer.

The evening started off with a group of musician led by MOBO award winner Delmar Edwards who played two numbers exquisitely showing of the level of musicianship that is common within the borough. Next we moved on to Croydon’s Testing 123 talent competition runner up Lyanna Austin and her live band, who once again performed her heart out with her own brand of soulful Gospel music. The next band on stage was the electric KB Fusionnaires led by the wonderful Kocoa Brown who put on a performance that was inspiring and exciting; they really brought the show to another level.

We then watched the first of our two headliners Audley Anderson formerly of the BBC’s Fame Academy who opened his performance with a filmed intro which really got everyone in the mood to receive his smooth and professional performance. Audley opened with a medley of two classic soul hits “Reach out (I’ll be there)” and “Love Train” which ever so smoothly linked into his own material. Well done Audley!!!

We ended the show with X Factor favourite Ashley McKenzie, who performed his upcoming single “Pack your bags” live for the first time for us at Croydon Live. Ashley then went on to perform an acoustic track with his guitarist and then finish off with a track with the band lead by Delmar Edwards.

We certainly had a good time once again and hope all who attended did to, stay tuned for photos of the night.
