Croydon Live was LIVE!
April 15, 2008
For those who missed The 1st Croydon Live showcase all we can say is you missed one of the best shows Croydon has ever produced!
Boasting a line up worthy of any stadium or concert hall, The night was opened by the wonderfully talented Katy Shotter who showed us exactly why Beyoncce wanted her to open for her on her tour. Katy played and sung her heart out singing her self penned compositions for a amazed audience.
Next we welcomed the winners of Croydons Testing 123 competition Cellar Door, who have the amazing knack of hypnotising audiences with the haunting vocals of Aimee Grinter and the truly talented Guitarist Mike Brown.
Next we changed the style and welcomed Opera singer James Edwards who sung two songs including Nessun Dorma for which he recieved a standing ovation. He truly stole the show as he displayed absolute power and control.
We changed the direction once again and welcomed the truly dynamic IDMC Gospel Choir who had the audience dancing and singing along to their own brand of gospel music, they even managed to get the audience doing the Jackson 5 roll.
Finally we welcomed the Soul legend Omar himself who went on to excite and thrill the audience with his performance of Nu classic soul hits including the eternal “There’s nothing like this” which the audience could of ended up singing for themselves, such was the audience participation.
We wish to thank everyone involved in the event and all who attended, look out for more information on the next event and contact us ASAP if you would like to perform.
Look out for pictures of the event coming soon!
