Jazz in Croydon

Croydon Jazz festival is in its third year now and is getting ready to annouce plans for this years festival.

This years festival will be held between June 5th and June 15th and will feature headline acts and Croydon local jazz musicians.

Lasts years festival was hailed as a great success with the festival being dedicated to the memory of jazz great John Coltrane and featured great musicians playing throughout Croydon.

This festival started by professional musician Dave Markee is attempting to put Croydon on the cultural map. Markee who has played with artists such as Eric Clapton, Faith Hill, Joan Armatrading and Leo Sayer says,

“Our aim is to offer a yearly high quality musical festival focusing on jazz but embracing all creative disciplines which pull people into Croydon; generating more business and encouraging and inspiring all generations to get involved with the arts.”
