Live music @ Croydon Film Festival

April 12, 2010

Many of us visit the movies and pay little attention to the importance of the musical soundtrack, but if you where to remove it film and dialogue could not convey the emotion of a situation as effectively as with an appropriate soundtrack.

As a part of the Croydon Film festival you have the opportunity to experience film and live music combined at the screening of two movies Endless Cities and Koyaanisqatsi – Life out of balance (both rated U)

D-Fuse’s Endless Cities is a cinematic exploration of the urban conditions, environments, patterns, divisions, conflicts and hopes that make up the living realities of people living in cities.

Video collected in numerous countries over several years will be accompanied by Matthias Kispert, creating a live mix from environmental sounds and musical cultures recorded at the visited locations.

The soundtrack will also feature  live violin. Violin will be played by London Symphony Orchestra violinist David Ballesteros

This event will take place at the David Lean Cinema, Croydon Clocktower @ 7.30pm Thursday 15th April, entry fee £10
