Croydon Enterprise have recently launched the “Test Trader Grant available to businesses or individuals wanting to start their music business or provide music related services.
This is a grant of £250 to test your business idea, service or product or for existing businesses to try something new (new product range for example). Although a grant of £250 won’t buy you a new studio, it can be used to promote your business, go towards the costs of recording a new track, build a website and more.
This grant is available via your music business advisor, who will discuss it with you and assess the feasibility of your claim. You will also be able to use the grant for various areas but you will not be able to use this grant to buy a computer (but you can buy software), or for business cards.
