Winehouse wins 5!

Amy Winehouse is in the news once again but thankfully for the right reasons. The former Brit School student is jubilant after winning an amazing five awards at the prestigious 50th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles 2008.
The singer was unable to recieve the awards personally even though her previously denied visa was awarded at the last minute, but she performed via satellite during the proceedings.
Amy Winehouse won Record of the Year, Best New Artist, Song of the Year, Pop Vocal Album and Female Pop Vocal Performance. Winehouse was the big winner of the night taking home more awards than anyone else.
Amy Winehouse performed 2 songs from the Riverside studios at 4am and was momentarily speechless when she recieved the award for Song of the Year for Rehab. When she retained her powers of speech she dedicated the award to London mentioning the fact that Camden was burning down!
Winehouse also sent a tribute out to her husband Blake being incarcerated even though new rumours are circling in the tabliods that she has been introduced to a new Blake, by friend Kelly Osbourne to help straighten her out.
All in all this was a glorious night for Winehouse and hopefully a turning point for her and her widely reported addiction problems as she is definatley a talented artist that should be in the news for reasons such as this. No doubt the Brits may be more of the same.
